London and Newcastle, Bears and Bagels.

You might remember that I came up with a design for Jonah Matranga (www.jonahmatranga.com) a short while ago. Well, as part of our 'trade' he was kind enough to let me sell my stuff from his merch table at a couple of his recent UK shows.

I was sadly only able to attend London and Newcastle as the other shows were either too far away or conflicted with a certain local derby last Saturday :)

There are some nice photogrpahs from the trip up on my flickr page (www.flickr.com/neil-m-perry) taken by Karen Taylor (www.flickr.com/camera-lady) who came with me and was an immense help.

It was a really great experience and hopefully Jonah and I will work together in the future.

sew tired...

Rowan loves sewing...

...Uhh, maybe not.

After two false starts my friend Rowan and I decided to spend our Saturday afternoon sewing scarves...well, Rowan did the actual sewing. I just pinned stuff up. It was an enlightening experience and I now have a deeper sense of admiration for textile workers of all kinds....especially Rowan (Thank you!).

I'm glad to say the scarves look ace!, they'll be up on my site this week.

Snake Bags

I printed my snake design on to some fairtrade organic cotton bags. I'm printing it (and another design) on to some tees later this week.

They'll be available through the site very soon, I'll keep you posted.

snake with birds

I've been working on this for a little while and now I'm happy with it I'm going to print it on American Apparel Tees and Scarves. It'll be going on Dijon tees in a dark brown, on Cream scarves in scarlet and on Grey scarves in dark orange.
Autumnal, i think you'd call it.

Tees at Bolshie

My tees are now being stocked by Bolshie.

Bolshie is a wonderful little organic store/cafe in Glasgow selling all manner of nice clothing. They are on Bank Steet (just off Great Western Road) so please head over and check it out.

A big you to Karen Taylor for the photographs:

Jonah 'treefrog' Matranga Tee/Zip-up hood.

I recently had the pleasure of coming up with a design for Jonah Matranga (far, onelinedrawing, new end original, gratitude) who I have been a huge admirer of for many years.

The design is up and available to buy now as a tee or zip-up hood from:

http://www.jonahmatranga.com/pages/yardsale.html#anchorclothes

The design was done on a trade basis and as part of that trade I am going to be setting up a greentees stall at some of his UK shows towards the end of October. I will be in London (12 Bar) on the 22nd and Newcastle (Trillians) on the 23rd, possibly Leeds (cockpit) on the 24th. I'm really excited about it and hope to see a few of you there.

If you're not familiar with Jonah or his music then check him (and the rest of his tour dates) out at one of the following:

scarf design, detail.

Here's a detail of the snake/birds design in progress.

It'll be going on cream scarves in scarlet and grey scarves in an as yet undeceided colour....suggestions?

scarf design

I've been working on a new design for a set of scarves I'm doing.
Two little birds being cradled by a snake, i'm pretty excited to see how it turns out.
It's hard to see much from this picture so I'll post a detail of the work in progress...

blood owls

I've been working on those owls a little more, this time in red on a stone coloured paper. This is pretty much the colous scheme I will be using for the tees and bags. I'll get the finished peice up soon so you can get a better Idea of how it will look.

My window makes a great natural lightbox......though it is less useful when the dark Scottish winter arrives.
